Perovskia ‘Blue Jean Baby’ (Russian Sage)

Price

$29.00

Commonly known as Russian Sage, Perovskia ‘Blue Jean Baby’ is a tried & true performer in the Connecticut garden! Beloved for its delicate spikes of blue-violet blooms atop wispy stems of fine-cut silver-green foliage.

This low shrub loves full-sun, and is drought tolerant once established. Ensure your planting area has good drainage. Typically, Russian Sage will reach 2-3′ tall and spread up to 3′ wide with a wild and slightly weeping habit. Not a favorite of deer. But pollinators adore it!

PRO TIP: In early spring cut back last year’s growth to about 6-8″ height. And divide plants after 4 years to encourage dense growth and bloom performance.

This plant or garden is available for pick up in our store or local delivery only.
