Scientific Name: Ilex glabra ‘Shamrock’

Ilex glabra ‘Shamrock’ (Inkberry) is an evergreen, compact, with a rounded habit of 3 -4′; relatively has a slow growth rate of 4 –  6″ per year. It’s ideal growth conditions are full sun to part shade.

‘Shamrock’ has slender foliage, in late spring to early summer, produces abundant small greenish white flowers. Also produces a profusion of dark blue-black berries in fall, provided it is pollinated by a male species (‘Shamrock’ is a female plant). Shape in early spring only if necessary
