Foxtail Asparagus Fern

Scientific Name: Asparagus densiflorus 'Myers' The foxtail fern is known for its dense, lush foliage and the tiny fragrant white flowers that bloom during late spring to early summer. Soft, needle-like leaves are held in place by long, upright stems. In the fall produces red decorative berries. The foliage is a light green and forms an arching mound when fully grown. Foxtail fern will grow to be about 1-2' tall and 3-4' wide. They prefer dappled sunlight to deep shade and do well in rich soil that is consistently moist with good drainage. PRO TIP: Plant a foxtail fern with begonias for a bright shade mix that has amazing texture. A foxtail fern is the perfect backdrop for the bright blooms of dragonwing, rex, and waterfall begonias alike. This plant or garden is available for pick up in our store or local delivery only.
