Clematis 'Giselle' is a compact, deciduous climber making it ideal for arbors, pergolas, trellises, and any other vertical surfaces. Blooming time is from late spring to early fall.
Clematis 'Giselle' boasts tolerance to deer and rabbits, all the while attracting pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds.
In the garden, this plant will reach a maturity of 2-3' in width and 4-5' in height.
NOTE: This clematis belongs to a group of the LATE SUMMER BLOOMING varieties. This plant flowers on new wood late in the summer and requires a 'hard pruning'. This means the plant should be cut back to it's strongest buds about 1 ft above ground level in late winter or early spring.
