Thanksgiving Flowers, Christmas Trees, & Holiday Fun at McArdle's!

Catching up & Prepping for the Holiday:

Hello again, friends! It's been a minute since we chatted last. Welcome back! Let's talk about getting ready for the upcoming holiday, Thanksgiving, and the Christmas Season. We've got our Thanksgiving arrangements posted on our website. We're getting more and more evergreen branches by the day. We've also got a couple more holiday-themed workshops before the year is out too! We are feeling the festive spirit in full, and we hope you are too. So without much more preamble, let's chat about how McArdle's can make your holiday season magical!

Flowers for your Thanksgiving Table:

Chic Harvest Centerpiece

Turkey day is fast approaching, and what better way to set the mood than a lovely Thanksgiving arrangement? Well... the turkey, potatoes, and such might be the best way. But flowers are a close second! Whether you need the perfect finishing touch for a table-scape, or a fabulous gift for your hosts, our team can design something gorgeous for you. You can click here to explore our Thanksgiving Collection. Our arrangements run the gamut from vibrant, like the Chic Harvest Centerpiece you see to the left, to muted and modern.
Of course, we can also create custom designs for you as well. If you have your own vessel that you'd like filled with flowers, we can make that happen. Or if you just have a very specific vision for your flowers, we'd love to chat with you about that. You're always welcome, too, to stop into the flower shop and do some flower shopping, and we can arrange what you've chosen. Flowers on the table engender a feeling of harvest bounty that you just can't buy at the grocery store.

Christmas Trees, Greens, and Evergreen Gardens:

Cut Evergreen Garden in Customer's Container

Before you ask, let me lay it out there. Christmas Trees will be out and ready for sale this Saturday, November 18th. In the meantime, we already have a fabulous selection of evergreens, berries, wreaths, and such for all your holiday decorating needs.
If you're after a wreath, we have a selection of pre-made options, but will gladly create custom wreaths for you. We can do it all from adding a simple bow, to creating a lush, lighted wreath with pine cones, berries, bows, bits and bobs! If you need evergreen gardens for your containers, our design team has already begun to create them. We'll have a great selection of grab and go gardens in paper mache pots ready to be dropped into your containers, like you see on the right. Of course, we can customize those as well. As the season carries on, you'll also see your favorites like fresh garlands, swags, mantelpieces, and more. So, come down to the garden center, and wander about. Most of the greens will last through the holidays and into January, too, so they're an investment in cheer for the length of the season.

Our Last Few Workshops of the Year:

Outdoor Design Expert, Stephen Grant

We still have a few spots open in our Holiday Planter workshop tomorrow (11/17) and our Thanksgiving Centerpiece workshop on the 18th. You can register for either by clicking here.
The Holiday planter workshop will be led by our outdoor container expert, Stephen Grant (pictured left). Many of you have probably worked with Stephen in our Garden Center. In his workshop, he'll teach you to design a container garden using fresh evergreens, berries, seasonal elements, and more! When all is said and done, you'll get to take your project home. The Centerpiece workshop will be lead by our Director of Floral Design, Connecticut's Michael Derouin AAF, AIFD, PFCI, CAFA. Michael will teach students how to cut and prepare flowers for the arrangement, place blooms and cover mechanics, and then send you home with your fabulous centerpieces. Be sure to reserve your spot before they run out!
If you have questions about anything holiday, please give us a call at 203-661-5600 or email us at [email protected], and we'll be happy to help you out. Here's looking ahead to a great holiday season!
