It is not too late to still get great produce!
If you had a vegetable garden this year, there is no reason to give up now just because fall is around the corner. Or if you did not have one, there is still a chance to reap the benefits of a vegetable garden this season.
Fall vegetable gardening is easy to do in our part of the country. Usually done from seed sown directly in the garden, it will continue to put the soil to use and provide you with more fresh produce. This year there may be extra room in the garden if any tomato plants were lost to the late blight disease.
The following is a list of fall crops that are easy to grow from seed:
Endive (Broad-leaf or Curled)
Salad Greens (Arugula, Mesclun, Mache, etc.)
Fall Broccoli Raab
Try fall vegetable gardening this year. It's healthy for you and your pocketbook.
